Mrs Maria Sourmeli as a Director of the Firm, with effect from 1st September 2018.
Maria Sourmeli who joined our firm in October 2003, have grown professionally within the firm and is a member of the Board of Management since 2013. She holds a BA in Business Administration and an MA in Finance. She is a holder of Certificates of Professional Competency in relation to the provision of investment services and activities, and a holder of advanced licence of the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission for the Provision of investment Services and activities.
Maria Sourmeli who is specialising in the provision of services to Credit Institutions and Financial Institutions, is regarded as one of the most experienced consultants in the financial services sector in Cyprus specialising in compliance procedures for regulated entities on a global basis. In addition, throughout her experience, she is supervising the compliance functions of financial institutions in Cyprus and the provision of consulting services in relation to compliance and regulatory reporting matters for EU based financial institutions. Maria Sourmeli has over 14 years of experience in relation to the regulations on EU level as well as other licensed activities in Cyprus and abroad and has contributed to the development of the financial market in Cyprus as well as the development of the Anti-Money Laundering processes currently adopted through directives by regulatory bodies and institutes.
